The Fruit of Labor Is Sweetest
Good morning, everyone!
Today, I'm so honored to be here and deliver the speech titled The Fruit of Labor Is Sweetest. It's well known that Chinese people attach great importance to labour, for it not only creates a better environment for us to live in but also advocates the spirit of diligence. As for me, there are various kinds of labour tasks to do, such as helping clean the house, washing dishes after dinner and sweeping floor. Besides, also work as a volunteer for the school library where I help to clean the shelves and sort the books. Doing all these chores helps me learn to be more independent and responsible, thus making me feel a sense of achievement.
All in all, labour can do good to students both mentally and physically, and it's time for us to experience the pleasure of labour. Let's take action right now!
Thanks for listening!

I wrapped the scarf around David's neck.David's face lit up with joy. Stroking the scarf softly, David excitedly kissed me in the cheek, beaming at me "Thank you, Mum. This is the best gift I have ever received." Before I could say anything, he dashed out to join Jane with a spring in his step. I felt relieved and content as a mother, seeing David play happily outside, with the scarf sheltering him to brave the bone-chilling wind. Wearing a smile on my face, I continued my chores that morning.
Later that day David came back saying Jane also deserved a scarf.Obviously, David noticed Jane could hardly bear the freezing weather with worn-out clothes. " Can I give this to Jane as a Christmas gift?" David ventured in a low voice. Smilingly, I nodded. Seeing David rush into Jane's house with the scarf in his hand, I felt a burst of pride. I was happy that both of them received the best gift for Christmas. For Jane a scarf to keep warm, and for David-a taste of happiness of giving.
