He stood up and walked to her. “Merry Christmas, Madam,” he said, picking out two flowers and then handed the old woman a fifty-dollar note. “Two dollar, Sir, but I don’t have enough change,” she said. “No, Madam,” said Tom, “This is a Christmas gift for you.”  198
